We celebrated Rachel's first birthday the weekend before her actual birthday. It was a wonderful day. Jen and I were dashing around getting things ready as guests were arriving around ten in the morning. Rachel was still sleeping so the early guests tiptoed around and watched us finishing the preparations. Finally everything was done and she woke up. She was surprised to see so many people in her house. We put her in her beautiful party dress to get her ready for the party, but she was still sleepy and shy so she clung to mommmy and took a long time to warm up to the party cheer.
