We spent last Saturday at the Sacramento Zoo. It was our first time at the zoo and Rachel's first time at any zoo. We got there early which was nice since it was a beautiful sunny day and there weren't many people there before noon. We fed her when we got there so she was rested, fed and ready to see the animals. We put her in the Bjorn and started the tour. We all loved the tiger cubs and jaguars--she was less interested by the time we got to the zebras and giraffes and by lunch naptime was approaching and energy was starting to flag. We had a nice lunch and then started for the gate. When we got close to the car she nodded off and we spent the next hour or so walking in the park nearby--it was either that or risk waking her while putting her in the car. The long walk and a satisfying nap was good for everybody.
Enjoy the pictures. There will be more next week--including some from her six month birthday on Tuesday.
